Glastonbury Festival 2024 line-up: How to watch the BBC’s live coverage


Glastonbury Festival 2024 is being broadcast live on the BBC, with fans who can’t get tickets (or simply prefer to watch at home) hoping to tune into the Worthy Farm event.

Broadcasters began live coverage on Wednesday 26 June, with fans flocking to the festival grounds in Somerset to watch hundreds of artists perform.

Dua Lipa will make her debut as Glastonbury headliner on Friday, with pop rock band Coldplay on Saturday and US star SZA closing the festival on Sunday.

Meanwhile, country-pop icon Shania Twain will perform a series of hits from across her career on the Legends Slot, including “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” and “This Doesn’t Leave Me Too many impressions”.

BBC coverage will be available on iPlayer, BBC Sounds, TV, radio and online, including on the Classic Glastonbury channel 24 hours a day from now until Sunday 30 June.

The channel will air back-to-back clips from some of Glastonbury’s most memorable performances ever, including Elton John’s farewell performance last year.

The BBC will also launch a dedicated Glastonbury channel on iPlayer, showing curated live moments, interviews and behind-the-scenes clips from midday on Friday (June 28) to Sunday evening.

New to the festival in 2024, the BBC has launched Glastonbury Channel II, where viewers can watch the day’s most talked-about performances.

The broadcaster will also share regular live broadcasts from the five main stages: Pyramid Stage, Other Stage, Park Stage, West Holtz and Wusies.

Performances from the Pyramid Stage will also be broadcast live in British Sign Language throughout the weekend.

On BBC Sounds, Anne Mack and Nick Grimshaw will host themed specials on their podcast Departed from the direction, The series can see their conversations with Twain, Glastonbury co-organizer Emily Eavis and others.

On Radio 1, presenters Jamie Laing, Vick Hope and Katie Thistleton will be on hand to talk to fans and artists throughout the weekend, The station will also air Dua Lipa’s Friday headlines in full.

Zoe Ball, a familiar face/voice to Glastonbury fans, will return to Worthy Farm on Friday for her Radio 2 breakfast show, which will feature live music, guests and stories from the festival so far.

Jo Whiley will present Twain’s first Glastonbury performance on Radio 2 on Sunday, while on Radio 4 it will be presented by presenter Anita Rani on Friday 28 June A special “Women’s Hour” episode airs.

What other insurances should you pay attention to?

The BBC’s coverage will even extend to CBeebies, with a special Bedtime Stories show hosted by Joe Talbot, frontman of Grammy-nominated rock band IDLES, on Thursday 27 June.

Talbot can read The boy with flowers in his hair, An illustrated story about friendship created by Jarvis. Other stars will read more bedtime stories from Worthy Farm.
