The plight of the Palestinian people is a key feature of this year’s Glastonbury Festival headline act.
Ending at Worthy Farm in the UK today, some of the campaign’s leading figures reiterated their support while calling for an end Israel-Gaza War.
Here are five artists who spoke about Palestine during their performances at Glastonbury.
1. Coldplay and Illeana

2. Dua Lipa
British-Albanian pop singer Dua Lipa performed a hit-filled show on the Pyramid Stage amid a sea of Palestinian flags on Friday night. Social media videos showed Lipa singing in front of a flag emblazoned with the words “Glasto for Palestine,” a move interpreted as her support for the cause.
Last month, Lipa became less ambiguous, calling the Israeli army’s actions “genocide” on Instagram.
“The world is mobilizing to stop Israel’s genocide. Please show solidarity with Gaza,” she wrote.
3. Charlotte Church
Welsh singer Charlotte Church is no stranger to the Palestinian cause. In February, she led a 100-person choir in singing the song from river to sea.
She took the stage at Left Field on Friday wearing a red and white headscarf. After leading the audience in an impromptu song, she said: “I want to give Palestine some love and affection. To all the people, all the mothers and children – we are thinking of you, we have you in our hearts… Free Palestine.”
4. Damon Albarn
Blur and Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn made a guest appearance at Bombay Bicycle Club on Friday. After singing the song “2023” with the orchestra HeavenAlbarn called Palestine a rallying cry for those ambivalent about Britain’s upcoming election on Thursday.
