Beau Fleuve Celebration announces lineup for eighth annual event


Buffalo’s arts and cultural organizations will host the eighth annual Beau Fleuve Music and Arts Celebration on Sunday, August 25.

Doors open at 1:30pm and events start at 2pm, with a variety of performances, exhibitions and activities for all ages. Attendees can enjoy activities such as art installations, photography exhibits, food trucks, vendors, children’s attractions and other unique experiences.

Soft rock band Infinity Song will take the stage at Beau Fleuve. The band, comprised of siblings Abraham, Angel, Israel and Momo Boyd, will bring their energetic performances and skilled harmonies to Buffalo. The New York-based band, currently on a world tour, represents the importance of respecting the creative minds behind local music and art. Song of Infinity delivers a wonderful, entertaining performance that is not to be missed.

Country singer-songwriter Elsie and Grammy-winning R&B singer Kameron Corvet also bring their soulful sounds to Buffalo. In addition, the melodious Latin singer La Cassandra and Canadian jazz and R&B musician Seyblu will also bring their own cultural performances to join the celebration.

Other acts include performances by Tiny the Dream, Stephen Babcock, The Miserable Genius, Neftali and 14 Mafia.

Featured performances

At the same time, participants of the music and art celebration will also have special performances to watch. DOSYO: WEH, comprised of DJ Ran$um, 438 Music Group and the Haundensee Dancers, will put on an incredibly compelling performance representing indigenous lands and the Seneca Nation.

Additionally, other forms of entertainment include performances by DJ Ted Smooth, DJ First Choice, DJ P Nasty and DJ Ruption. Other performances include a jam session by the Diyené Band and a live mixtape by producer Toney Boi. These sets will provide audiences with an interactive experience during the festival.

A carefully curated experience

The music and art celebration will add a special and unique touch through their carefully curated experiences. These include a happy hour from 2 to 3 pm, which includes a new family entertainment area with exciting activities for the kids, as well as live DJs and podcasts as well as drink specials.

Attendees can also take advantage of The Exchange’s Pull Up & Pitch event at Beverly Gray. Those with business ideas or in need of startup funding can pitch their ideas for a chance to win capital seed investment, incubator space and mentorship.

Art

Art installations include “The New Era Cap Tent” by Patti Thomas/Emeka’s The Ghost Room
Wajid/Madbe Maker and Tayshaun Tyson/Left Hand Bandit. Artists will display their hat patches while interacting with the audience. Likewise, Mandella Huff, Nekea Brown and Vinny Alejandro will participate in the creation of emerging artist installations through their carefully designed interactive sets.

Angela Guest will present a large-scale textile work in the “We Are All Made Up of Stars” installation.

The Beau Fleuve Celebration of Music and Arts has also hosted artists including Neese Rich, Bree Gilliam, Cargo Santana, Paulie The Artist, XXXI, Jessica Mjoen, Marquise Rowell, Darmelle, DJHA and KIDWITTHEWINGS.

Vendors Village features local businesses, food, games and restaurant services.
