The City of Vicksburg welcomes everyone to enjoy live music, art and food at the third annual Vicksburg Arts and Music Festival, April 19-20, 2024. In partnership with the festival, a second stage of entertainment will be added on Saturday.
The festival is free to attend. People are invited to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets and relax while enjoying music and food. There will be a variety of vendors inside and outside, with many selling fried crocodile, barbecue, fish and more!
Indoor entertainment will kick off at 9 a.m. with exciting jazz performances by high school and college students, then the second phase outdoors will begin at 12 p.m. Omega Psi Phi will host a student talent search starting at 12:00.th-12th Grades are eligible to participate and will win cash prizes.
Beginning at 2pm, local and regional musicians are invited to participate in a jam session in memory of Mark Doyle hosted by Mr. Bud Carson.
From 2 to 6 p.m., children’s activities include video game trailers and special guests from the MS Museum of Natural Science.
Featured Musicians:
Compozitionz, The Chill, Projekt, Pop Fiction, MS Marshall Deluxe and the legendary Bobby Rush will all perform during the festival on Friday and Saturday.
This event is free and made possible with the generous support of the City of Vicksburg, Mutual Credit Union, Waterview Casino, Bally’s Casino, and grants from Visit Mississippi, Visit Vicksburg and MS Delta National Heritage.
