This concert features two world premieres. ‘Cellist and Composer Paul Vianco Members of the prestigious Kronos Quartet have composed a new work for Present Music and will perform some of his other works, including “American Haiku,” “That Night” and “The Closed Universe.” Pamela Z performed her vocal solo works and a range of electronic music compositions, and contributed to the program another world premiere of “Raise”, a stirring tribute to the people who raised us, written for “The Cellist” tribute Nick Finos (a founding member of the Eighth Blackbirds) and three other cellists, as well as voice samples and multimedia. Is the plural form of cello “cellos” or “celli”? We say cello cello!
