Lubeznik Arts Center hosts First Friday event with live music by Eric Lambert


The Lubeznik Center for the Arts (LCA) will host First Friday with live music by Eric Lambert on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 5-8 pm Central Time. Everyone is welcome to attend the show and enjoy free refreshments and cash. As always, admission is free.

Eric Lambert plays guitar, is educated, records, and tours internationally with many different artists. He is a three-time winner of the Chicago Music Award, the Guitar Champion at the Strings & Sol Music Festival (Mexico), and the RockyGrass (Colorado) New Band Award as a member of the Henhouse Prowlers.

His latest record, Beating The Odds, topped the 2021 Folk Alliance International DJ Charts, alongside Bela Fleck, Norman Blake, Billy Strings Billy Strings) and others on WVPE Public Radio’s “Back Porch” radio show. It was also named Regional Release of the Year by Tom Lounges and the Northwest Indiana Times.

In addition to enjoying musical performances, attendees can view LCA’s current exhibition “Stitched, Woven and Hooked.” The exhibition showcases the extraordinary work of textile artists who employ a wide range of materials and techniques, including traditional quilt making, basket weaving and embroidery, as well as new digital technologies and other contemporary material plays.

At the NIPSCO Art Education Studio, the exhibition “Art from Scratch” will run until May 15.
