Flint Conservatory of Music School of Performing Arts Opens Registration for Summer Classes


FLINT, Mich. — Registration is open for summer camps and classes at the Flint Conservatory of Music’s School of Performing Arts, the organization announced.

Open to all ages and skill levels, registration information for camps and classes can be found on the Flint Conservatory of Music website.

Available programs include:

  • Music Lessons (Ages 5 to Adults)
  • Music and dance lessons (infants to 5 years old)
  • Harp, Piano, Percussion, Strings, Music Explorer Music Camp (4 to 10 years old)
  • Intensive Strings, Chamber and Harp Music Course (Ages 10 to 18)
  • Dancing Fun Camp (4 to 7 years old)
  • Ballet classes for beginners and returning dancers (Ages: middle school students to adults)
  • Summer Ballet Intensive Class (7 years to adults)
  • Drama Camp (Grades 1-12)
  • Musical Theater Camp (Kindergarten to Grade 12)
  • Music therapy (all ages)
  • Music Therapy Improvisational Camp (Ages 5 to 15)

The Flint Academy for the Performing Arts is the largest community arts school in Michigan and one of the largest in the nation, according to a news release from the organization. There are currently over 3,500 students.

“Summer is a great time for new adventures. Children and teens can try strings, percussion, dance, acting and more for the first time at FSPA camps. “They can also try their hand at challenging programs like ballet, strings intensive or chamber music summer camp improve skills. “

Tuition assistance and scholarships are available for FSPA summer sessions. Genesee County residents receive a 10% discount and no annual registration fee.
