WMSE Arts & Music Returns February 9th | News

Milwaukee’s own WMSE 91.7FM Frontier Radio is proud to announce the return of the highly anticipated seventh annual arts and music event. This family-friendly, multi-sensory fundraiser presented by von Briesen & Roper, SC, is scheduled for Friday, February 9, 2024 at the historic Pritzlaff Building (333 N. Plankinton Ave.), with a commitment to local artists and music Host an unforgettable celebration at home.

Guests will enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to support the local arts scene, purchase unique pieces, and indulge in an evening of art, music, food and entertainment. Art & Music will transform the Pritzlaff Building into a vibrant studio, with more than 150 album-sized artworks on display at the auction.

The artwork was created by a local artist who provided a 12″ x 12″ birch board with no other instructions. “Like WMSE, art is free form. There are no rules,” said music director Sid McCain. Featured artists include Brett Newski, John Ripenhoff, Stanley Ryan Jones, Dara Larson, Tom Noll, Jeremy Novy, Carole Rode-Curley and Okja Kwon.

Rounding out the musical lineup are the talented cellist Janet Schiff and percussionist Victor DeLorenzo (also known as Nineteen Thirteen). The edgy pop duo will perform, accompanied by a special artistic performance by artist Luna.
