The Texas Touring Arts Program is designed to ensure that all Texans have the ability to enjoy performances by outstanding Texas companies and artists in their own communities. The Texas Commission on the Arts (TCA) provides grants to help defray the costs of bringing in performances by companies and artists from the roster. Performing arts companies and artists from across the state applied to be added to the Texas touring roster.
These artists must have a history of touring and must be willing to perform outside of the community. They also need to maintain a reasonable range of fees. Applicants to the program are evaluated by evaluators with expertise in the traveling arts. TCA has prepared a wealth of application resources, all of which are linked in the Program Guide. We recommend that potential applicants review all of these resources.

The Texas Music Office in the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and Tourism is the only state music office in the nation. Since 1990, TMO has promoted economic development for Texas music businesses, Texas musicians and Texas communities. TMO operates an extensive network of certified music-friendly Texas community partners across the state, serves as a clearinghouse for Texas music industry information, and serves as an interface between music businesses and government agencies Liaison, publicizing important industry developments and attracting important music industry to Texas.
