HOBOKEN, N.J. — In addition to enjoying performances from 300 vendors on seven blocks in Hoboken next month, you can catch concerts on two stages throughout the day, including a just-announced headlining band .
Local favorites the Feelies will headline the Hoboken Fall Arts and Music Festival on Sunday, October 1st.
The Feelies will take to the Observer Highway Stage at 4:45 p.m., just four blocks from the Hoboken train station
Band members include (pictured above) Stan Demeski, Dave Weckerman, Brenda Sauter, Glenn Mercer and Bill Million.
The Feelies will release their seventh album and first live album, Some Kinda Love, on October 13th via Hoboken’s renowned Bar/None Records.
“Some Kinda Love features a performance of a number of retrospective songs written for the Velvet Underground,” a press release states.
Earlier in the day, bands including the Bongos and Karyn Kuhl Gang will perform.

The City of Hoboken invites residents to attend the Hoboken Fall Arts and Music Festival on October 1 in downtown Hoboken.Their unique handicrafts are on display along Washington Street (Observer Highway) to Seventh Street from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
“The Fall Arts and Music Festival is a great opportunity for residents and visitors to come together, celebrate our community and enjoy a day filled with art and music,” said Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla. “Bring your family and friends and explore the amazing vendors offering a variety of delicious food, one-of-a-kind jewelry, arts and crafts.”
The City today announced the headline music act for this year’s festival: The Feelies. The Feelies are an iconic American indie rock band from Haledon, New Jersey, known for their timeless hits such as “Crazy Rhythms,” “Let’s Go,” “Fa Ce-La” and “Sooner or Later”. The band’s current lineup includes Glenn Mercer, Bill Million, Stan Demeski, Brenda Sauter and Dave Weckerman.
The Feelies will release their seventh album and first live album, Some Kinda Love, on October 13th via Hoboken’s own Bar/None Records. Some Kinda Love performed a set of heavily retrospective songs written for the Velvet Underground, recorded at a sold-out show at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City on October 13th. 2018.

Washington Street will be closed to parking and vehicular traffic between Observer Highway and Eighth Street on October 1 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. New Jersey Transit bus #126 will be rerouted to alternative routes during the holiday season.
The Hoboken Fall Arts and Music Festival is funded in part by a grant from the New Jersey Department of Tourism and is supported by Bijou Properties, FOG (Friends of Geri), Hufnagel Landscape Architecture and Architecture Group, Ironstate, Veolia, This Is It Productions, New York and New Jersey Port Authority and WFUV.
