FLINT, MI – The Greater Flint Arts Council will present the 24th annual Tune at Noon Festival in Wilson Park in downtown Flint.
The free festival will begin on July 8, 2024 and extend to August 16, 2024, weekdays from 11:45 to 1:15 pm
“Tune for Noonday” began as an idea to inspire workers lunching in downtown Flint. Now the event attracts both workers and families.
“We probably average 100 to 200 people a day,” said Harold Hill, operations manager for the Greater Flint Arts Council. “Once the season starts, we have a really stable, cool group of guys that are always there and change based on game time. [Flint] Farmers markets are open.
Sponsored by the Mott Foundation and the University of Michigan-Flint, the festival will feature a variety of musicians from Flint and the surrounding areas, with musical styles ranging from jazz, blues, rock, psychedelic funk, gospel and African drum etc.
