Plans are underway for a five-day festival to celebrate the best of Lincolnshire’s artistic talent.

Local craftsmen, performers and artists are making final preparations for the inaugural Welton Music and Arts Festival, which will take place from Wednesday, July 3 to Sunday, July 7.

The event, hosted by Welton Lincoln Parish Council, will bring high quality performances to the village and highlight local talent in areas such as music, dance, singing, drama and comedy.

After a full schedule of events and performances, the festival concludes on Sunday 7 July with a street food market from 12pm to 4pm and a theatrical performance by TPA Theater Company at 6pm.

Jemma Carlisle, founder of TPA Theater Company, said:

“Our dance group and vocal group are rehearsing hard for the performance on July 7, and we look forward to putting on a wonderful performance.

“Our ‘Midsummer Dreams’ show will be a blend of musical theater and chart-topping pop songs and dance. People can expect to see many of the songs they know and love from artists like Sam Smith and Olivia Rodrigo, as well as Hits from musicals such as Number Six and Rent.

Viki Barker-Johnson from Chow Pizza said:

“In our mobile pizzeria, we can make and bake a pizza every 90 seconds, and our hand-crafted wood-fired oven can cook our signature thin-crust pizza at temperatures around 400 degrees Celsius.

“On July 7th, we’ll be launching a small but extensive menu with five different pizzas, from the classic Margherita to the ‘Hot Girl’ for fans of spicy food!
