How about Willie Nelson? Better, but the PNC Bank Arts Center is showing off

Things are looking up for Willie Nelson, but he won’t be on the Outlaw tour this weekend, which includes a show on Sunday, June 30 at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel.

“Willie Nelson’s doctors have cleared him to hit the road again,” Nelson wrote on social media on Friday, June 28. “He will continue on the Outlaw Tour next week.” Willie will not be attending this weekend’s dates.

The tour, which includes Bob Dylan, Robert Plant, Alison Krauss and Celis, will go ahead as planned. Lucas Nelson and family will fill Nelson’s spot on the show. Lucas is Willie’s son and he sang some of his father’s classic songs.

Willie’s social media announced that the 91-year-old “wasn’t feeling well” at the start of the tour last week and would miss “the next four days.” The music legend was expected to return to Virginia Beach for a show on Thursday, June 27, but a post on the day of the show announced that he would not be performing.

The latest post states that in addition to the Holmdel show, he will also miss a show in Syracuse, New York, on Friday, June 28, and a show in Jones Beach, Long Island, on Saturday, June 29.
