Source Music and Arts offers youth pottery wheel camp


BEMIDJI — Headwaters Music and Arts will host a week-long youth pottery wheel camp July 8-12 at Headwaters, 519 Minnesota Ave. NW.

This seven-session day camp is tailored for youth ages 13 to 18. Additional parties held July 25 and 6:30.

Ceramics instructor Tom Daly will teach participants hands-on wheel throwing, design and sculpting techniques and learn how to apply glazes, a news release said. The camp will conclude with an ice cream social where participants can showcase their completed wheeled vessels.

The cost to attend summer camp is $185 per participant, plus a $40 non-refundable deposit. Headwaters offers a variety of scholarship and bursary options for all of its youth programs in an effort to make participation accessible to all. All materials and firing included.
