Los Gatos Music and Arts Center Presents Sounds of Summer This Month


The Los Gatos Music and Arts Center will present “Sounds of Summer” from noon to dark on Saturday, June 22, at the Los Gatos Town Square, Main Street and Santa Cruz Boulevard in downtown Los Gatos.

This free, open-to-the-public, one-day outdoor bluegrass and Americana music festival showcases some of the Bay Area’s finest American roots musicians, celebrating America’s rich multicultural musical heritage in a family-friendly picnic atmosphere. Bring a picnic basket and lawn chairs and enjoy free seating. Or purchase reserved seating and specialty food and wine.

General admission is free. Food and refreshments can be purchased to-go from neighboring businesses.

Reserved Seats Available Support live music and enjoy the best viewing experience by purchasing reserved seats located directly in front of the main stage. Seats include all-day access privileges. Attendees who reserve their seats will receive a commemorative SummerSounds Music Festival drink cup.

This program:

12:00 p.m.: California Blue Runners. (The trio specializes in Zydeco and Cajun music from southern Louisiana.)

2:00pm: The Goat Hill Girls (all-girl bluegrass, country, Americana)

4:00 p.m.: Wildcat Mountain Ramblers (Five Sound, bluegrass, old-timey, country, western, Cajun, acoustic rock, cowboy and folk.)

6:00pm: Andre Thierry (Zydeco and Blues Accordion Soul)

The Andre Thierry accordion soul set will be followed by a composer’s concert featuring Ren Geisick and Chris Motter at Los Gatos Coffee Roasting Company from 7 to 9 p.m.
