Boonerang Music and Arts Festival Parking Lot and Road Closures Press Release

Welcome to the Town of Boone’s third annual Boone Run Music and Arts Festival, taking place on Friday, June 14th and Saturday, June 15th in downtown Boone! Boonerang Music & Arts Festival Celebrates Boone, NC with a free downtown street music festival; this community homecoming event brings artists and fans with ties to Boone to the Gathering together every third weekend of the month, “Boon Long” returns to the place we love. For the safety of guests, staff and volunteers, the following roads will be closed on June 14th and will reopen late at night on June 15th:

  • ● 7:00 a.m.: S. Depot Street will be closed from Howard Street to Rivers Street.
  • ● 4:00 p.m.: S. Depot Street will be closed from Howard Street to W. King Street, Howard Street will be closed from 277 Howard Street (ECRS) to 747 W. King Street (Southend Brewing Company), N. Depot will be closed from W. . King Street to Queen Street will be closed

Hourly parking is available along W. King Street, while standing meters are available on Queen Street for holiday parking. Designated spots along W. King Street in front of the Jones House and Post Office District will be reserved for use by persons with disabilities. If these parking spaces are full, nearby Appalachian State University’s public parking lots and decks (for more information, visit www.parking.appstate.edu/), Burnett Parkway at 537 W. King Street First Baptist Church of Boone and Watauga County Social Services lot at 132 Poplar Grove Connector. However, it is worth noting that ridesharing is encouraged and all stop signs must be read and obeyed carefully to ensure a smooth flow of traffic.
