Headwaters Music and Arts will host Open Mic and CoffeeHouse on June 7


BEMIDJI — Headwaters Music and Arts will host its monthly Open Mic and CoffeeHouse event at Headwaters, 519 MN Ave. NW, on Friday, June 7 at 7 p.m.

The monthly community gathering provides a friendly open mic opportunity and a welcoming environment for people to listen, perform and network with other open mic attendees.

Debbie Center will take the stage as the night’s featured performer. She will perform original piano music inspired by the wildlife, landscapes and Northern Lights of her beloved hometown of Nevis, Minnesota. Registration for the Open Mic begins at 6:30 p.m. or by emailing jjhgaard@gmail.com.

Headwaters Open Mic and CoffeeHouse takes place on the first Friday of most months and provides a welcoming and supportive community for musicians and spoken word performers. People of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to sign up for 10 to 15 minute lessons.

Admission is $4 per person, $10 for families. Apple Blossom Village has partnered with Starbucks to offer coffee and snacks for purchase.
