Free performances at Denver’s Levitt Pavilion

May 17 to October 5

Denver’s Levitt Pavilion offers a free, all-ages summer concert series. Audiences will encounter a range of performances: major, emerging, local and international artists from a variety of genres and backgrounds. We encourage RSVPs, but walk-in entrances will be allowed as long as the pavilion is not at capacity.

Sweet Summer Concert Series

The Foundry Plaza’s annual One Sweet Summer event series offers a range of events, including a bluegrass festival, Wednesday evening concerts and the Symphony on the Plaza.

Bohemian Nights in Fort Collins

May 30 to September 5

Weekly concerts will showcase artists from Colorado and across the country, representing a variety of genres and styles. The series provides emerging and established artists the opportunity to share their music live and connect with the Northern Colorado community.Free performances will be held on the outdoor stage at Old Town Square in Fort Collins every Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

City Park Jazz hosts free concerts every summer that draw large crowds from all over the city. The line-up includes jazz, blues and salsa music and is held at the City Park Pavilion.

Boulder Colorado Music Festival

July 5 to August 4

This six-week summer performance season calls Boulder’s Chautauqua Auditorium home. Led by Music Director Peter Oundjian, this world-class festival orchestra includes artists representing 44 orchestras from 23 states and 4 provinces. Highlights of the 2024 Festival include the return of violinist Augustin Haderich, pianist Olga Cohen and pianists Christina Norton and Michelle Norton; Gabriella Lena Frank’s new concerto Globe Premiere; celebration of the 200th anniversary of Bruckner’s birth and other events.

Loveland Summer Concert Series

July 11th and 18th

Presented by the Rialto Theater at the Foote Lagoon Amphitheater in Loveland, this classic summer event is free and open to the public. The show starts at 7pm and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Durango Tico Time Bluegrass Music Festival

May 17-19

Nestled in the heart of the stunning Animas River Valley just outside Durango, Colorado, the Tico Time Bluegrass Festival combines music, nature, and adventure. The event was broadcast by local public radio station KSUT.

The 15th Annual MeadowGrass Music Festival Located in Colorado Springs

The MeadowGrass Music Festival is the Pikes Peak Region’s opening event of the summer. Meadowgrass takes place over Memorial Day weekend and features local and regional performers as well as kid-friendly entertainment, guided hikes, workshops, yoga classes and late-night performances.

35th Annual Boulder Creek Festival

May 24-27

Experience four days of live music, gourmet food from more than 20 vendors, beer festivals, local artisans, family-friendly activities and more along the Boulder Creek Trail. Musical performances will be divided into three stages, kicking off Friday night with Steely Dead (Steely Dan meets the Grateful Dead).

Greeley Blues Jam Festival 2024

May 30 – June 1

The Greeley Blues Jam aims to promote blues music education and bring the community together for a great blues experience in a family-friendly atmosphere. The festival offers food and drinks, merchandise vendors, and plenty of free parking. Additionally, there are camping and RV campsites outside Grove Island Arena, providing convenient options for those who want to stay overnight.

Colorado College Summer Music Festival 40th Anniversary Season

June 2-21

The Colorado College Summer Music Festival is celebrating its 40th anniversary. This is an intensive three-week course for 52-54 advanced student musicians. All students participate in a series of concerts, Festival Orchestra Concerts, held in the Richard F. Celeste Theater in the Edith Kinney Gaylord Cornerstone Arts Center on the Colorado College campus.

The Mountains of Music concert series returns as part of the 2024 GoPro Mountain Games. Free daily music will liven up the game’s Mountain House Gear Town in Vail Village and The Hangout in Golden Peak. The Amp’s evening show will include sold-out headline acts.

This free annual music festival celebrates the history of Denver’s Five Points neighborhood, once known as the “Harlem of the West” and home to jazz legends such as Miles Davis and Thelonious Monk. Every year, Denver’s Five Points neighborhood hosts a community celebration in honor of Juneteenth, the day the last enslaved people in this country gained their freedom. The festival includes Denver’s longest-running parade, which dates back to the 1950s, and thousands of people are expected to participate in the parade to celebrate the day. Denver Global Dance Festival

Global Dance Festival has added a new location this year on the grounds of the Stockyards Events Center at the National Western Complex. The event will take place from 5pm to 1am every day, but participants must find another place to sleep; camping is not allowed on site.

The Rhythm of Norte Del Rio

August 2-4

Headlining acts at this year’s Rhythms on the Rio music festival include award-winning Fretliners, California Honeydrop, ALO (Animal Liberation Band) and more. The event is hosted by the South Fork Music Association, a nonprofit volunteer organization that gives away free instruments and teaches San Luis Valley children how to play them.
