Peso Pluma’s “La Durango” Voted Favorite New Latin Music of the Week


Peso Pluma, Junior H and Eslabon Armado’s new song “La Durango” topped this week’s New Music Latin poll.

A poll released on Friday (May 10) shows support for the weekly New Music Latin roundup and playlist curated by: advertising billboardof Latin and spanish advertising billboard Editors – Fans voted the Mexican artist’s latest collaboration as their favorite piece of music from the past week.

“La Durango” received nearly 70 percent of the vote, beating out other new songs that also dropped this week, including Gaby Moreno’s “Alma Florecida,” Gian Marco’s “Dicen En Mi Barrio” and Black Eyed Peas’ “Tonight” with Becky G.

Grupo Frontera takes second place with its new album, Nothing will happen if you playRyan Castro finished third with his new suit, ghetto singer.

“The title itself alludes to the rugged Dodge Durango, perhaps symbolizing the artist’s strong rise in the regional Mexican music scene,” wrote spanish advertising billboard‘s Isabela Raygoza highlights tracks from New Latin Music. “The Mexican musical trinity showed that their combined power was more than a fleeting alliance, but a formidable fusion of talents that set high standards for contemporaneous musical genres.”

The collaboration follows the huge success of Peso’s collaboration with Eslabon Armado, “Ella Baila Sola,” which made history last year by reaching No. 4 on the Hot 100, the highest ranking on the Mexican music song chart.
