According to the group’s website, the group’s Colombian-American leader, Andrea Chavarro, “is committed to addressing the void of female orchestras in New York City’s live music scene. This ambition led Club Lulada to launch Established in 2022.

According to the website, the band plays “retro tropical rhythms including salsa, bolero and cha cha” and “pays homage to these icons while offering a fresh perspective through their original tunes.”
