Art, Music, Dance Highlights O’Hara Fine Arts Night

Fine Arts Night at Cardinal O’Hara High School in Tonawanda Township focuses on the school’s music, art and dance departments.

The event will begin at 6pm on Wednesday, May 8 in the school’s Performing Arts Center.

O’Hara’s visual arts department, coordinated by art teacher Troy Furco, will feature student art, including black and white photography, watercolor, tempura, collage and acrylic work.

Programming at the Performing Arts Center will focus on concert bands and wind and jazz ensembles, directed by Colin Sperrazza, director of music.

The O’Hara Ensemble will feature musical numbers from the chorus, choir and special group performances directed by Sperrazza.

Dance performances taught by dance director Katie Calarco will also be part of the program. Students in the jazz and tap dance classes will perform, as well as students in all dance classes.
