Avoyelles Arts and Music Festival finds new venue to enhance experience | WNTZ-TV Fox 48


MARKSVILLE, La. (WNTZ) – The Avoyelle Arts Council partners with the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana and Paragon Casino Resort to present the 12th Annual Avoyelle Arts & Music Festival at Paragon Casino Resort . Louisiana’s premier destination is bringing a whole new experience to festivalgoers on July 4th!

“Paragon has served this community for 30 years, and our involvement in the parish has always been our most cherished mission,” said Marshall Ray Sampson, Sr., general manager of Paragon Casino Resort. The biggest and most anticipated festival of the year.


This exciting addition will include entertainment in the cool, air-conditioned Mari Showroom, arts and crafts in the lobby, and as always plenty of kid-friendly activities.

“The essence of the festival remains the same,” explains Alison Augustine, president of the Avoyelles Arts Council. “Our goal is to highlight the arts and music of our region while bringing the community together to celebrate our nation’s birthday,” she added.

The Avoyelles Arts & Music Festival combines all the elements you treasure for the 4th of July: the state’s longest-running 4th of July parade, live music from Louisiana artists, festival queens, food booths, car shows , stunning fireworks displays and more!

The festival attracts more than 3,000 visitors to Marksville each year. “The Avalje Arts and Music Festival provides visitors with a fantastic opportunity to experience the hospitality and culture of Avalje,” said Wilbert Carmouche, executive director of the Avalelle Tourism Council.

The festival kicks off on Thursday, July 4, with a parade in Marksville at 10 a.m., followed immediately by an opening ceremony at the Paragon Casino Resort.
