The Morningside Chorus is the university’s premier 40-member audition choir from Sioux City, Iowa, maintaining a respected tradition of artistic excellence since 1925. The choir is composed of undergraduate musicians from all major fields. Researchers are some of the University’s finest leaders and scholars. The orchestra presents a diverse choral repertoire and has received national and international recognition for its performance excellence. Most recently, the choir toured Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic in 2022, notably at the Antonin Dvořák Festival in Pribram, Czech Republic, where they performed to a sold-out audience. In May 2024, the choir will tour South Africa.
